What does Christmas mean to you?

The Christmas season is unarguably the most significant and interesting festive period in history. This season is widely believed to be the celebration of the birth of our Saviour, The Lord Jesus Christ. But really have we stopped to ask ourselves the essence of Christmas? Christmas isn't about merry making, it transcends the exchange of gifts, messages, visiting loved ones or families, vacation in dream places, dancing and singing Christmas carol, decorating everywhere etc but it represents loving and giving – not to our family members but to those who can't afford to celebrate- eat, wear new clothes etc Simply put, the poor, helpless ones in motherless babies homes, orphans in the streets, hospital patients, prisoners, beggars

Christmas is a period to reflect on the nature of Jesus Christ who while on earth was (and is still) humble, compassionate, loving and kind to a fault. It is a time to appreciate Him deeply for sparing our lives and that of our families from the evils that ran through the year. Chiefly, it is a period to amend our ways and follow his footsteps.

Will end with these deep quotes

J. C Penney, "Christmas is not just a time for festivity and merry making. It is more than that. It is a time for the contemplation of eternal things. The Christmas spirit is a spirit of giving and forgiving"

George F. McDougall, "Christmas means a spirit of love, a time when the love of God and the love of our fellow men should prevail over all hatred and bitterness, a time when our thoughts and deeds and the spirit of our lives manifest the presence of God"

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in Advance.

This song is a combination of inspiration, great voice, marvelous delivery, extra-ordinary rhythm with Yoruba and English language lyrics. This song will make you dance and offer thanksgiving to GOD for his mercies and grace throughout the year 2013.

In her words; "God has been good to me and the only thing I would do is to sing joyfully, with mouth full of praises and give Dance of thanksgiving like David.

Word of the day

When everything seem meaningless and you feel like drawing the curtains.... When whatever you lay your hands on seem unproductive, when it feels the whole world is against you. Turn to Christ, Cast all your cares and you'll amazed.

Take a Look: Angel reportedly appears at RCCG

A group of singers were leading a worship session at R.C.C.G Ebute Metta in Lagos yesterday when they spotted an 'angel' in their midst. And trust people to bring out several gadgets to snap it.
Does this look real or photoshopped?

Stand Firm In The Lord

In Joshua the high priest we see a picture of each and every child of God, who has been made nigh by the blood of Christ, and has been taught to minister in holy
things, and enter into that which is within the veil. Jesus has made us priests and kings unto God, and even here upon earth we exercise the priesthood of
consecrated living and hallowed service.

But this high priest is said to be "standing before the angel of the Lord," that is, standing to minister. This should be the perpetual position of every true believer. Every place is now God's temple, and his people can as truly serve
him in their daily employments as in his house. They are to be always "ministering," offering the spiritual
sacrifice of prayer and praise, and presenting themselves a "living sacrifice."

But notice where it is that Joshua stands to minister, it is before the angel of Jehovah. It is only through a mediator that we poor defiled ones can ever become priests unto God. I present what I have before the messenger, the angel of the covenant, the Lord Jesus; and through him my prayers find acceptance wrapped up in his prayers; my praises become sweet as they are bound up with bundles of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia from Christ's own garden.

If I can bring him nothing but my tears, he will put them with his own tears in his own bottle for he once wept; if I can bring him nothing but my groans and sighs, he will accept these as an acceptable sacrifice, for he once was broken in heart, and sighed heavily in spirit.

I myself, standing in him, am accepted in the Beloved; and all my polluted works, though in themselves only objects of divine abhorrence, are so received, that God smelleth a sweet savour. He is content and I am blessed. See, then, the
position of the Christian-"a priest- standing-before the angel of the Lord."
