What does Christmas mean to you?
Christmas is a period to reflect on the nature of Jesus Christ who while on earth was (and is still) humble, compassionate, loving and kind to a fault. It is a time to appreciate Him deeply for sparing our lives and that of our families from the evils that ran through the year. Chiefly, it is a period to amend our ways and follow his footsteps.
Will end with these deep quotes
J. C Penney, "Christmas is not just a time for festivity and merry making. It is more than that. It is a time for the contemplation of eternal things. The Christmas spirit is a spirit of giving and forgiving"
George F. McDougall, "Christmas means a spirit of love, a time when the love of God and the love of our fellow men should prevail over all hatred and bitterness, a time when our thoughts and deeds and the spirit of our lives manifest the presence of God"
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in Advance.

Music: Araleyi- Ijo Ope
This song is a combination of inspiration, great voice, marvelous delivery, extra-ordinary rhythm with Yoruba and English language lyrics. This song will make you dance and offer thanksgiving to GOD for his mercies and grace throughout the year 2013.
In her words; "God has been good to me and the only thing I would do is to sing joyfully, with mouth full of praises and give Dance of thanksgiving like David.

Take a Look: Angel reportedly appears at RCCG
Does this look real or photoshopped?
Monday, 9 December 2013
Stand Firm In The Lord
things, and enter into that which is within the veil. Jesus has made us priests and kings unto God, and even here upon earth we exercise the priesthood of
consecrated living and hallowed service.
But this high priest is said to be "standing before the angel of the Lord," that is, standing to minister. This should be the perpetual position of every true believer. Every place is now God's temple, and his people can as truly serve
him in their daily employments as in his house. They are to be always "ministering," offering the spiritual
sacrifice of prayer and praise, and presenting themselves a "living sacrifice."
But notice where it is that Joshua stands to minister, it is before the angel of Jehovah. It is only through a mediator that we poor defiled ones can ever become priests unto God. I present what I have before the messenger, the angel of the covenant, the Lord Jesus; and through him my prayers find acceptance wrapped up in his prayers; my praises become sweet as they are bound up with bundles of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia from Christ's own garden.
If I can bring him nothing but my tears, he will put them with his own tears in his own bottle for he once wept; if I can bring him nothing but my groans and sighs, he will accept these as an acceptable sacrifice, for he once was broken in heart, and sighed heavily in spirit.
I myself, standing in him, am accepted in the Beloved; and all my polluted works, though in themselves only objects of divine abhorrence, are so received, that God smelleth a sweet savour. He is content and I am blessed. See, then, the
position of the Christian-"a priest- standing-before the angel of the Lord."

Gospel Hotspot? What does that name mean??
Gospel: Gospel is the The Good News of God's ONLY Son "Jesus Christ" who came and died as a sacrifice for mankind's condition of sin. Giving mankind a way to be saved from the condition of sin and punishment of eternal separation from God. It's all of what we have as believer's "In Christ" as God's Word "The BIBLE" states. That there is only ONE Way to God the Father and that is through Jesus Christ His Son.
Hotspot: You won't find the word "Hotspot" in the Bible. This 21st Century use of the English word "Hotspot" means simply "Any location where Internet Access is made publicly Available". We understand how technology continues to advance and how it has introduced "something new" to our daily lives.
To this world, the Gospel is STILL something new. Until Jesus returns, the Gospel of Jesus Christ needs to be presented, shared and received as it's something NEW. God's Word never changes, but to those who believe they are forever changed and perfected into the image of Christ.

Word of the day: I am not forgotten
The strong taking advantage of the weak. The rich taking advantage of the poor and plundering them of the little they have. They take the good of the land but leave you with crumbs and bones? Your inheritance taken away from you, leaving you with no choice but desolation? The desert is so dry; no water to quench your thirst, no food to keep body and soul together? You feel bound, enslave in a place where you should be free.
This is the word of God for you this morning. Stand on it, believe it and trust Him this morning.
Thus saith the Lord. "I will make a covenant of peace with you and rid the land of wild beast so that you may live in the desert and sleep in the forest in safety.
I will bless you and the places surrounding my Hill. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessings. The trees of the field and the ground will yield its crops; the people will be secure in their land.
They will know that I am the Lord, when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from the hands of those who enslaved them. They will no longer be plundered by the nations, nor the wild animals devour them.
They will live in safety, and no one will make them afraid. I will provide for them a land renowned for its crops, and they will no longer be victims of famine in the land or bear the scorn of nations. Then they will know that I, the Lord their God, am with them and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, declares the Sovereign Lord.
You my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are people, and I am your God, declares the Sovereign Lord." Ezekiel 34:25-31.
Listen, all who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; who who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. The Lord will make rivers flow on your barren heights, and springs within the valleys. He will turn the desert into pool of water, and the parched ground into springs.
In righteousness you will be established; tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. You are not forgotten, the Lord is with you and His word is true and alive.

Tiny Little Boxes
But God is not to be confined in this manner. His ways are mysterious. God's hands put the stars in the sky and scooped out the ocean depths. Do we dare to try and create a box that will corral our redeemer? Instead, let's worship the majesty and mystery of God.

The Splendor of a Generous Life
We are all familiar with the great classic by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol, and his consummate description of Ebenezer Scrooge. "Oh, but he was a tightfisted hand at the grindstone. Scrooge! A squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous old sinner! Hard and sharp as flint, from which no steel had ever struck out generous fire; secret, and self-contained, and solitary as an oyster."
God has called us to something far better. He wants us to be generous.
I have learned that poverty is not the state of not having; it is the fear of not getting, which causes you to hold on tightly to what you do have. And the moment you do that – you shut down your heart from being generous, and close down your life from receiving the blessings that God has for those who give.
"Give , and it shall be given unto you," Jesus said, "good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over shall men pour into your lap." (Luk_6:38). John Bunyan wrote, "A man there was, and they called him mad; the more he gave, the more he had." As the old saying goes, "You cannot out-give God."
Giving is the gateway to greatness. The splendor of a generous life is that it lifts you above the downward pull of poverty and empowers you to enrich others. And, at the same time, by your generous acts towards others you enrich yourself in ways that cannot be fully measured. Winston Churchill said, "We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give."
Let me close with this short humorous story.
A missionary was sitting at her second-story window when she was handed a letter from home. As she opened the letter, a crisp, new, ten-dollar bill fell out. She was pleasantly surprised, but as she read the letter her eyes were distracted by the movement of a shabbily dressed stranger down below, leaning against a post in front of the building.
She couldn't get him off her mind. Thinking that he might be in greater financial distress than she, she slipped the bill into an envelope on which she quickly penned the words, "Don't despair." She threw it out the window. The stranger below picked it up, read it, looked up, and smiled as he tipped his hat and went his way.
The next day she was about to leave the house when a knock came at the door. She found the same shabbily dressed man smiling as he handed her a roll of bills. When she asked what they were for, he replied: "That's the sixty bucks you won, lady. 'Don't Despair' paid five to one at Santa Anita."
Why not be generous in some way to someone today? Your horse just might win tomorrow!

Make Up Your Mind!
The prophet told the people it was time to makeup their minds. They could not claim to be God's people and continue to worship idols, rather than in the living God. No false god can do for us what God can do. He forgives our sins, meets our physical needs and satisfies the spiritual longings in our hearts. God is the only one worth worshipping.

Why was death necessary?
During Old Testament times, an animal was killed to take the death penalty that a human deserved for disobeying God. The blood of the animal was then sprinkled in an open display before God and people. When Jesus died on the cross, the blood that poured out of his body was proof that he was paying for our sins. This was the final sacrifice for the sins of humanity.

Have you been to that barber's shop?
"You are cutting people's hair for free, there are millions of people out there looking unkempt; with bushy hair and moustache, young, old who cannot afford to pay for a cut, why aren't people coming?" The barber smiled and said, "I have called unto them but they won't come. See most of them scratching their heads miserably and lamenting about their shaggy look, whereas, it won't cost them anything to come down here". Matt 11:28-30.
That's exactly the scenario between Jesus and the world. Why go about lamenting your plight when everything can be settled by Jesus Christ and Yes for FREE. The end time is near, Christ is coming soon, the best gift you can give anyone (particularly unbelievers) on planet earth, is to lead them to Christ. Without salvation, no one will inherit the kingdom of heaven.
Millions of souls are perishing everyday, tell someone about Jesus Christ, there's no way you can see God except through His only son Jesus Christ. That's where most people are missing it. You can't deal directly with God without passing through His son, it's more or less like wanting to enter a fenced building without making use of the gate.
John 14:16 says, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". It is as concise as that. The peace, joy etc in Christ is better than anyone you can get anywhere. Jesus turns nobody away. He sees your heart, He knows your needs, just surrender, please give all to Him. Creation cost him nothing but your salvation? Everything.

Faith (An Inspiring Poem)
Faith… One voice holding him through the time
Faith… and he heard their voices:
Oh yes, there can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
Its hard to kill
Who knows what miracle
You can achieve
When you believe
Somehow you will
You will when you believe
Faith… He believed.
It wasn't all he hoped for. It was more.
Because he believed.
In the end, he achieved.
Faith…

Behind-the-scene photos of Deitrick Haddon's new reality series, 'Preachers of LA'
Synopsis
Preachers Of LA follows Pastor Wayne Chaney, Senior pastor of Antioch Church of Long Beach; Bishop Ron Gibson, pastor of Life Church Of God In Christ in Riverside; Deitrick Haddon, minister and contemporary gospel artist; Jay Haizlip, senior pastor of The Sanctuary in Orange County; Bishop Noel Jones, senior pastor of the City of Refuge Church in Gardena; and Bishop Clarence McClendon, senior pastor of Full Harvest International Church in Los Angeles.
These men of God will share diverse aspects of their dynamic lives, from their work in the community and with their parishioners to the very large and captivating lives they lead away from the pulpit. While "Preachers of L.A." documents these pastors' lifestyles, the series also focuses on the daily struggles and triumphs they face as men, husbands, fathers, brothers and friends.
Viewers will also get to know the strong women who stand behind these church leaders, and often work just as hard to balance their lives in the spotlight with their commitment to family.
