Music: Ara Edide - Seyi Alesh
The song invites people to come worship and rejoice before the Lord in praise and thanksgiving for all He has done for us.
Ara Edide is so timely in the fact that the year 2014 is winding to an end and it is a time to reflect on what God has done for us from January till December.
Though a classic tune, Seyi Alesh puts his unique twist on this song with his dexterity on the saxophone that helps to take us before the throne of Grace in worship and adoration.
So what are you waiting for? Ara Edide....get up and let's give God all the PRAISE!!!

Bishop David Oyedepo pens emotional tribute to the late Dr Myles Munroe and wife.
Myles and I called ourselves 'twin brothers'
Myles, my twin brother is gone up to glory
Ruth, his partner in life and death has gone to eternal rest
Faith and I miss you both!
Our moments together on this side of the Jordan were most memorable.
We stayed together on several occasions under the same roof
We lodged in same hotels time and again; we shared the platform together preaching the good news of the Kingdom over the years.
Our friendship of over 24 years was a most enriching and adventurous one,
Our partnership in ministry was also a most profitable and rejuvenating one.
Myles, my twin brother
A bundle of inspiration
A man of spiritual depth and insight
A leader of leaders and teacher of teachers
Ruth, a bundle of joy and divine radiance
Your smiles were ever contagious,
You exhumed gentleness, love and care like a fountain
You were indeed a priceless jewel!
The two of you were swifter than eagles
You literally traversed the globe
As you taught nations the principles of the Kingdom
You were both as strong as the unicorn,
Energetic, untiring, never relenting, purposeful and focused
I could still remember, Myles and I took all the inaugural induction lectures for the pioneer
Faculty and Staff of Covenant University in August 2002.
All of Myles' meetings on our church platform were ever inspiring and impactful.
The Living Faith Church Worldwide really misses you!
Good night Myles, my twin brother!
Good night Ruth, his partner in life and in death

Wasted Worrying
What will I do if I don't regain my health? What is going to happen if I can't find a job? How will I pay my bills? How will I eat? We all have a number of concerns when it comes to making it through life. And these concerns are usually valid. We all go through tough times when it seems like there is no way out. The question is, "How do you handle the tough times?"
Some of us worry until we are physically ill. We may even worry so much that we are unable to do anything but worry. But worrying does not solve anything. Jesus uses examples from nature to demonstrate how God provides for all living creatures. Animals don't worry. They get busy and find food.
The first step we should take when faced with a difficult situation is to turn to God. Trust him with our needs. Next we need to look for constructive ways to solve our problems. The answer may not come immediately but we can keep moving forward, keeping our eyes open for the surprising ways God provides solutions.
Worrying is a waste of energy.

Dangers of Pre-Marital Sex
Alternative terms for pre-marital sex include:
- Non-Marital sex.
- Young/Adolescent sex.
- Young-Adult sex.
Pre-marital sex can take the form of; - lesbianism, homosexuality, incest,
masturbation, bestiality among others.
Today illicit sex is associated with millions of youths who are unaware of the dangers of pre-marital sex. Instead of youths to worship God with their precious time, they waste their time committing sin and destroying their future.
Ecclesiastes 12: 4 – "Remember now thy creator in days of thy youth while
the evil days come not, nor the days draw nigh when thou shall say I have
no pleasure in them".
*How/Why People Get Involved in Pre-Marital Sex*
People find themselves in areas where lifestyle of boarder on committing sin. Places like the ghetto/slums or areas where there are no strict moral values, most of the time form part of the environment where youths learn evil ways fast. Therefore, things like smoking rape, stealing pickpocketing, pre-marital sex are some of the ridiculous practices seen in this kind of places.
Pre-marital sex also thrives in mixed schools. Having a lot of girls clustering around, send evil messages with peer groups encouraging one to have sex with as many girls as possible with the assurance that there will be no harm.
1Corinthians 16:9 *"For a great door and effectual is opened unto me and there are many adversaries" –KJV.*
Another reason young people indulge in pre-marital sex is their great curiosity to explore what sexual activity is all about. They do this without considering the damaging consequences. Here it may take the form of casual sex with one of the partners seeking to experience sex.
Cohabitation breeds sexual immorality. This has to do with couples living together in a long term relationship without marriage. Examples of people that fall into this category are betrothed couples who engage in sexual activity before the anticipated marriage.
Studies reveal that people who cohabit find it difficult to marry for obvious reasons. If that is the case, the question is why young people still cohabit? It must be stated here also that the consequences of cohabitation is life-threatening and therefore should be avoided.
*Consequences of Premarital Sex*
Satan has caused much damage to the youths making them to commit fornication. Fornication is pre-marital sex. Damage which could not be repaired has been inflicted on young promising persons and the have to live with it for the rest of their lives.
God knows that there are dangers in pre-marital sex that is why He wants us to flee from youthful lust 2 Timothy 2:22 *"Flee youthful lusts but follow righteousness, faith, charity, and peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart".*
Sex is a powerful force that can destroy if not used properly. Like atomic power, sex is the most powerful creative force given to man. When atomic power is used correctly, it can create boundless energy, when it is used in the wrong way it destroys life. Sex is the same kind of powerful force. Sex is the gift from God to give us the greatest pleasure to help in creating deep companionship with one's spouse and for procreation of the next generation. But if you play with this powerful force outside the bounds of marriage, it destroys you and those close to you.
- Sexual activity for young people arrests their psychological, social and academic development. Studies show that when young people engage in pre-marital sex, their academic performance declines and their social relationships with family and friends deteriorate. This is because adolescents are too immature to deal with *the explosive sex drive *and it tends to dominate their lives.
- Majority of women cannot enjoy sex outside the bonds of Marriage. Pre-marital sex usually takes place sneaking around in hidden places, dealing with the fear of being caught, the fear of pregnancy and feelings of guilt. All these worrisome factors undermine pleasure in premarital sex most especially in women.
- Virginity is to be given to the most important person in your life – the person you committed to stay forever in marriage. Your virginity is the most precious thing you have to your spouse. Once you lose it nothing in the world can bring it back.
*Spiritual Effects of Pre-marital Sex*
- It is a sin - *1Thessalonica 4:3 (for this is the will of God even your sanctification that you should abstain from fornication)*
*- 1Cor. 6:9 – No fornicator will enter into the kingdom of God.*
*- Colossians 3:5-6 – Fornicators attract the anger of God against themselves. It is a dangerous thing to fall into the hands of God.*
*Deuteronomy 22:13-21 – Penalty of fornication is death.*
*Matthew 5:32 – The sin of fornication is the only ground on which a man should divorce his married wife. Fornication is a very terrible sin as it affects all the body.*
*- Fornication brings more sin.*
Most pre-marital sex ends up in pregnancy, sickness abandonment or sale of babies. The rate of abortion has increased because of increase in pre-marital sex. Involving in pre-marital sex is a sin of its own but committing abortion is murder. Almost all today's youth must have committed murder before reaching age 25.
Some of them abandon their babies in dustbins, gutters and other public places which is an increase to their original sin of fornication. Some secretly sale their babies to ready buyers who use such babies for rituals, or resale them to wealthy couples who could not bear their own children.
*- It creates an ungodly soul tie*
A soul tie is an agreement one enters with another that creates a special bond between two people. Soul ties are common and exist everywhere –husband and wife, parent and children, teacher and student, pastors and church members, employer and employees. Sex is not just a causal fun as most people think and take it to be. It is much more than that, it involves blood. The Bible says *"Life is in the blood" Lev.17:14.*
When you have sex with a person you have given a part of your life to that person and in return the person has given you a part of his own life in the spirit realm. In the spirit realm, two of you have become one. You start to share things in common. That is why disease, sickness, demons and many things and many things pass through during sexual intercourse.
In addition, you have just created* "a soul tie" *between you and the person involved. Since God does not permit pre-marital sex, it becomes an* "ungodly tie" *in the sight of God. That is why some girls find a special liking or memory on the day of dis-virginity, the blood that flows out that day becomes *the blood of the covenant or agreement*. Genesis 34 Shechem the prince of the land of Hivite committed fornication with Dinah the daughter of Jacob. The soul of Shechem cleaves unto Dinah. First it was lust, and then came love, yet it was *ungodly*
- It fragmentizes your soul
Since sexual intercourse creates soul ties, each person you have sex with you have given part of your heart or soul in the spiritual realm. That is why people who were promiscuous before settling down for marriage find it difficult settling down at all because their soul has been divided; always thinking of their relationships with their previous partners thus making it impossible for them to settle down for marriage.
If a person has slept with a thousand persons in his life, his love, heart and several other things has been shared with these thousand persons. A close look at the society shows that wayward people find it difficult to have a fulfilled marriage life because they have shared their life with several people.
Most promiscuous people are involved in extramarital sex. They are never satisfied with one person just for no reason, always looking for their lost soul. It is dangerous engaging in pre-marital sex because it can affect your marriage in future.
*- It passes demons to you*
This is perhaps the most worrisome part of pre-marital sex. Demons and other problems gain entrance into your body through pre-marital sex.
1 Corinthians 6:*16 "know ye not that he which is joined to a. harlot is one body? For two saith He shall be one flesh.* Have not heard how a serpent that was in another person was transferred to another in the course of sex. It passes demons to your generation. Any sin that becomes a habit is iniquity.
*- It is a sin against your own body*
Other sins are outside the body except the sin of fornication, 1Corinthians 6:18.
Fornication has the capacity of doing the flowing to you:
* You lose confidence.
* Diseases, sicknesses take over you.
* Your relationship with your family becomes unstable and lying sets in.
*Pre-marital Sex Is Lust*
Love is from God. It gives unconditionally and it can wait. Lust is from Satan. It is selfish and wants immediate gratification. Any man that loves you will never demand sex from you as a proof of your love for him. Love is patient, is long suffering and endures.
1John 4:7 *Beloved let us love one another for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.*
Many young people today have the spirit of Ammon 2nd Samuel 13:12-14.
Beware!
*Other Dangers of Pre-marital Sex*
* Premature parenthood
* It makes you marry the wrong person who may not be supportive, friendly or compatible.
* Rejection, abandonment
* Infertility
* It kills your vision
Everybody that was involved in pre-marital sex in the Bible suffered punishment. Genesis 34: 26-27 *and they slew Hamor and Shechem his son with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Shechem's house and went out. The sons of Jacob came upon the slain, and spoiled the city, because they had defiled their sister.*
2nd Samuel 12:29 *the servants of Absalom slew Ammon on the order of
Absalom for raping his sister Tamah.*
*Avoidance/Prevention/Advice*
The only way to avoid the dangers of pre-marital sex is to abstain from it. Sex education has suggested the use of condom but statistics has shown that condom has failed in stopping dangers of illicit sex. Condom cannot stop the passage of demons during sexual intercourse.
Our youths have taken pre-marital sex as a normal thing and a way of life. I want to sound this note of warning that it is *devils device to destroy you people.* Hear what the Bible say in Proverbs 14:12 *there is a way that seemeth unto a man is right but the end is death*
* Disassociate yourself from immoral/ungodly peer group.
* Try not to be idle.
* Beware of the type of film you watch.
* Make the Bible your closest companion and pray always.
* Take a personal decision to start living a life of purity and God will back you up.
* Mind what you drink – refrain from alcohol.

Footsteps from the Past.
The confrontation with Laban must have seemed like child's play compared to what Jacob expected from his brother, Esau. After all, the last time Jacob had seen or heard anything from Esau, he had threatened to kill him. Now, Esau was rapidly approaching along with 400 men- not a good sign.
Imagine living with this kind of fear for more than 20 years is there somme hurt or mistake in your past that still causes you to cringe with fear? The way to break through that fear is by admitting the hurt or mistake to God and by remembering what he has promised us.
In Jacob's prayer, he remembered that God promised he would be successful. God can help us to break through our fears and trust him to take care of our needs.

Jesus Is Lord
Book Burning
King Jeremiah had decided that Jeremiah and his prophecies had to be surpressed as a matter of national policy. In spite of the advice of many of his counsellors, he burned Jeremiah's scroll of messages as it was read in an official meeting. Jehoiakim tried to rally his government by butting heads with Jeremiah; however, he didn't realize that he was actually facing God himself.m
It's not uncommon for societies to think they have advanced beyond the moral standards of God's Word. Every now and then we read or hear an "expert" claiming that the Bible is hopelessly dated, oppressive and reactionary. Years from now, God's moral demands will be the same, but those "experts" will not be around. Hang on to the Bible and be
skeptical of so-called experts.

62nd convention: RCCG ordains 8,622 deacons
Speaking on this year's programme, RCCG General Overseer, Pastor E. A. Adeboye said "This theme makes the convention more than any other - Holy Spirit Himself. The reason the Christian life of many believers might have been very uninteresting and dry is because divine illumination which the Holy Spirit produces through His word is largely absent. If only we would open ourselves fully to the Holy Spirit at this convention, help will come our way and we shall go back home rejuvenated and bubbling in joy of the Holy Spirit. Dryness will become a thing of the past.
"These are great and awesome work of grace the Holy Spirit produces in the lives of His people. As we come thirsty and not for a jamboree, it is expected that before the convention is over, many of us will say I have indeed come to keep an appointment with destiny. For instance what wisdom and understanding impacted, students who have been having it rough in their academics despite all they put in, it will be their turn to smile. They shall receive help and exam failure will begin to change to stories of exam success.
"Because hope makes not ashamed (Romans 5:5), we are trusting God that through this convention, shame will be terminated where found in our lives. The barren shall be helped and they shall become fruitful, the sick and the afflicted shall obtain help and shall be healed, help will flow in the direction of the bound and they shall be set free, the forgotten shall be remembered at last and every good thing that might have died in our lives shall come alive again."

A Woman of Courage
Though the Bible does not even mention her name, this woman had the courage to stand on the top of a wall in the middle of a siege and ask to speak with the person leading the attack on their city. As a result, she saved her city from destruction.
It is not always the person whose name is in the headlines who changes the course of history. Often it is the unsung hero- the person who dares to stand up and speak out for what is right- who makes the real difference. The world may. Not take note of your courage but God will not miss him.

Evang. Reinhard Bonke prays for the missing girls in Nigeria
"Heavenly father I come to you on behalf of Nigeria. Together with your people in that country I am asking you that the 287 girls abducted by Boko Haram will soon be found and returned to their families – unharmed, and that all random killings by the terrorists be stopped forthwith.
As peter was released from prison in scripture, send your angels to release these daughters of Nigeria. I rebuke the enemy in the name of Jesus and bind all satanic spirits. Let your peace prevail inside and outside of this wonderful country of Nigeria. I am asking it in the name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names. Amen."

It can also be you
Several different ones talked about how GOD had led them in different ways.
It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home, and he prayed; ' GOD...If you still speak to people, speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey.' As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk.
He shook his head and said out loud, GOD is that you?' He didn't get a reply and started on toward home. But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk came. The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice of GOD, and how little Samuel ran to Eli. 'Okay, GOD, in case that is you, I will buy the milk.' It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.
As he passed Seventh Street , he again felt the urge, 'Turn Down that street.' This is crazy he thought, and drove on past the intersection. Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street .At the next intersection; he turned back and headed down Seventh. Half jokingly, he said out loud,' Okay, GOD I will.' He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop. He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi- commercial area of town. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either.
The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed. Again, he sensed something, 'Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street' The young man looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat 'Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid.'
Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk. Finally, he opened the door, 'Okay GOD, if this is you, I will go to the door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for something, but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here.' He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, 'Who is it? What do you want?' Then the door opened before the young man could get away.
The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He looked like he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. 'What is it?' The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, Here, I brought this to you.' The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway. Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk towards the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his face. The man began speaking and half crying, 'We were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk.
His wife in the kitchen yelled out, 'I ask him to send an Angel with some. Are you an angel?
The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back to his car and the tears were streaming down his face. He knew that GOD still answers prayers.

I Forgive You
This is among the greatest phrases in any language. After a long separation caused by disagreement between friends or lovers, to forgive each other is a welcome relief. To be forgiven is to begin life all over with renewed home that life will be beautiful again.
Forgiveness is not an emotion. It is a decision. When we choose to forgive someone, God will see to it that the feelings of forgiveness follow that decision. God always stands ready to forgive us.
Like David in this Psalm, our sorrow for some sins may be unbearable. Only God knows our deep need of forgiveness. Like David, we will find God's "welcome home" when we come to him.

I Will Have Pity
The situation must have seemed hopeless for most of the Israelites during their seventy years as captives in Babylon. But the Lord sent prophets like Ezekiel and Daniel to encourage them.
Consider the doubt that most of us felt about the Iron Curtain and the Berlin Wall ever disappearing. Then one day these seemingly ironclad powers just melted away. The Isrealites may have felt this way when they actually found themselves back home. God had pity on his people. He kept his promise to them. He does the same for us.

Don Moen's prayer for abducted school girls in Nigeria
Please join me in prayer for Nigeria and specifically for the schoolgirls that were abducted almost a month ago. "Heavenly Father, we join our hearts together at this moment and ask you to intervene in the nation of Nigeria. We pray for peace in that nation and that those that are trying to undermine what You are doing would be overruled by Your power in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in Nigeria as it is in heaven!
We pray specifically that You would protect the schoolgirls that were captured and that Your angels would surround them in this ordeal. Soften the hearts of their abductors and cause them to release the girls unharmed so they can return to their families. We thank You for hearing and answering our prayer, in Jesus' Name, Amen!

Who Is In Charge Here?
Once Gideon had defeated the Midianites, the people wanted him to be their king, but Gideon refused. He reminded the people that their king was God. Yet after resisting the temptation of power, Gideon gave in to the temptation of gold.
It may seem correct to think that Gideon deserved a reward for his faithful service, but when Gideon used the gold to make a statue he did a very foolish thing. People began worshipping the statue instead of God.
There are many things we encounter today that may seem at first to be acceptable. But we, too, face the same temptations the Isrealites faced. We tend to place too much importance on things- house, money, cars- and pay less attention to God. We must always be sensitive to focusing on God, not things.

An Enemy's Heart Is Changed
Can people become Christians only when they hear an eloquent and beautiful message spoken with logic that cleverly convinces the hearers? Saul had heard the Christian message- and he rejected it at first.
Then Jesus himself came to Saul and he couldn't argue with Jesus' message now. Saul changed his mind because Christ had changed his heart. Saul couldn't deny the blinding power of God, nor his miraculous healing.
Sometimes we are too stubborn to hear the message of the gospel. Sometimes we need to be convinced in a painful way about God's truth. Saul went on to take the gospel to many nations as a result of his unforgettable conversion. Who in your community needs to hear about God's love?

True Friends
Joseph from Arimathea was an important man and he loved Jesus. It took courage for him to go and ask for the body of Jesus and take charge of its burial. Most men in his position would not have wanted to risk their reputation by being associated with this scandal.
Are we afraid to be associated with Jesus because of what our believing friends might think? Instead of being afraid, consider what a wonderful opportunity we have to share the good news of Jesus with others. We don't have to beat unbelievers over the head with God's message. A gentle and loving disposition is much more effective.

Happy Easter everyone!
Now, it's not enough to remember and acknowledge the huge sacrifice of Christ. It's another time to scan our lives, draw back from sin and be closer to Him. The words of a Gospel singer reads, "the more you sin, the harder you nail Him on the cross". Celebrate Jesus! We Celebrate Him! Happy Good Friday everyone

Words To Live By
Jesus is the Ultimate law-giver and what gracious laws he gives! He begins by saying that the laws God gave to Isreal were true and right, but they had been perverted into nothing more than a list of "dos and don'ts". The "dos and don't's" are more important but God is more concerned about the attitude of our hearts.
Murder is wrong but we must also guard our hearts against hatred, which is a form of spiritual murder. Adultery is wrong but we must also guard our hearts from lust. Our promises and behaviour should be completely reliable, because we are the children of God whose Word is always trustworthy.
When other people make us angry, we may want to get even but Jesus says we must do good to those who harm us.

Time Is Ticking Away
There are only 8,760 hours in each year. Nearly half of that time is spent sleeping, eating and commuting to and from work. The average job consumes another 2,080 hours, leaving only a quarter of the year for everything else.
How are you using your time? When your life is coming to an end, how will you see your life in light of moral and spiritual issues? "What good did you receive from the things you did? All you have to show for them is your shame, and they lead to death. Sins pay off with death. But God's gift is eternal life given by Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:21,23). Time is ticking away, don't waste it.
